SYLLABUS TYPE- The text Homesickness can be decided to be a part of ‘Topic-Based Syllabus'. The number and types of activities organized around a topic depends on numerous contextual constraints like period, proficiency amount of the learners, class size etc . additionally, it depends on the professors willingness to organize the class and motivate the learners to involve inside the activities One particular advantage of topic-based syllabus is that they allow a cyclic treatment of basic linguistic items and vocabulary linked to the given topic. It also stimulates progressive advantages of new products. A further advantage of topic-based syllabus is that it allows semantic unity within the functions, buildings, words or other linguistic items which may be contextualized within a given theme. Topics which can be included in the coursebook are chosen keeping in mind the eye of the scholars. Topics picked keeping in mind learner's needs can also promote personalization. Learners can actively add in the classroom discussions because they may have some qualifications knowledge about the issues discussed inside the class. Educating around the same topic for a few months may create sufficient chances for recycling and reinforcing grammar and language. In addition to this if the topics happen to be related to different courses then it can showcase cross-curriculum work possible.
